Watermelon Limeade

Perfect for your next baby shower or bridal party, this refreshing drink is a nice twist on the usual lemonade or soda.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 cups watermelon chunks
  • 1 cup lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 20 ounces water

Instructions

  • In a small sauce pan, add the 3/4 cup water and bring to a boil. Add the sugar and cook 2-3 minutes until the sugar dissolves. Turn off the heat and set aside. 
  • In a food processor or blender, blend the watermelon chunks to a puree and release all the liquid. Pour through a strainer into a pitcher. 
  • Add the lime juice, sugar and water mixture and the remaining water. 
  • Stir well and chill covered for up to two days. 

Notes

Freeze in popsicle molds for a healthy cool treat for the kids too!
