Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 4 2-inch wide salmon filets wild caught, Alaskan preferred
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce I used tamari
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil or other high heat oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • pinch salt remember soy sauce is salty, so go lightly
  • pepper to taste, optional

Instructions

  • Make sure the salmon is totally thawed, if frozen.
  • Pat the fish dry with paper towels. Set aside.
  • In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, oil, ginger and garlic together.
  • Brush seasoning (or your other choice of seasoning) on to the flesh side of the fish and allow the fish to sit 5 to 10 minutes if you can for the flavors to penetrate. If you don't have time, just move ahead.
  • Sprinkle the fish with salt and pepper if using.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400.
  • Transfer the fish to your basket or tray (depending on your air fryer model) and bake 4 to 6 minutes per half inch of thickness or an internal temperature of 125 degrees.
  • Fish should flake apart easily with a fork when cooked but still be a bit pink in the center. Let the salmon rest 5 to 7 minutes before enjoying.
