Ingredients

  • 1 batch lavender syrup made in advance, see note 1
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 1 1/2 cups of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and fresh lavender sprigs for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Mix the lavender syrup with the water and lemon juice. Stir to combine and taste. Adjust as needed and remember that adding ice cubes when serving will further dilute the lemonade’s flavor.
  • Store in the refrigerator at least one hour to chill if possible.
  • Serve over ice with lemon slices and fresh lavender for garnish.

Notes

Note 1: To make lavender syrup mix 1 tablespoon dried lavender flowers, 1 cup sugar or honey and 2 cups boiling water. Stir to dissolve the sugar and let the mixture steep for at least 30 minutes or up to 12 hours. Strain the lavender buds out and use the entire batch of syrup in this lemonade recipe. See the full recipe for lavender syrup here.
